1. Residence, curate and lecturer: I have, one Mr: Hayne, but he does not reside on Little Hempston, nor is there an house, or place in the parish, that he could live in. The parsonage House such as it is, is absolutely wanted by the Tenant, but the Curate resides with his family, which is large, almost as near as if he was in the parish. My Curate had only the late Bishop's Literary, and Verbal Leave, as his License was lost some years since, after being lodged in the Register's office for a fresh indorsement. The Salary is forty five pounds a year with the surplice fees.
   There is no Lecturer.

2. Other benefices: I have the Benefice of Kenn where I chiefly reside.

3. Divine service at other churches: No.

4. Frequency of divine service: At Little Hempston, prayers twice every Sunday, and two Sermons.

5. Frequency of communion: Four times in the year, and there are about five, and twenty, or thirty Communicants at each.

6. Catechising of children: In the afternoon of the longest Days, every year.

7. Church fabric: Every thing is in good repair and very decent.

8. Glebe terrier: It is not to be found at present but <there> Shall proper Enquiry be made about it.

9. Number of families: About 87.

10. Chapels: There is no Chapel in ye parish, or near it.

11. Papists, dissenters and meeting houses: No papists, no meeting-house, no Teacher in the parish.

12. School, alms-houses, hospital and charitable endowments: There is no School nor Hospital <nor parochial Library> but alms houses, a few. There is a Gift of Mr: Bogan <to the poor> that is well apply'd.

13. Charity: I believe there are, and have, & will be well apply'd.

    Priest's orders and institution: Instituted to the Rectory of Little-Hempston in Sepr. 1777.
